Organisation
Organisation is a crucial aspect when it comes to tennis coaching especially athletes at young ages. A well organised coach allows for a smooth transitions in between activities which has an affect on athletes themselves, it avoid and get rid of factors such as; standing around waiting for the coach to make his mind up on how to transition on to the next drill/activity. Coach needs to also be organised in terms of player development process, it is important that the coach establishes short and long term goals for each athlete in order to meet their specific demands, and as stated in previous section each athletes requires different approach from the coach, to thrive. “The best way to implement a successful plan for short and long term goals is to firstly establish what the goal is and how assessment will take place to measure if the goal is met (Martens, 2004).
Regarding the placement being organised in terms of kit, preparation prior to the session were all vital aspects of athlete developments. Athlete’s felt more connected to the session and less distracted when appropriate UOL kit was worn, this specific group was very demanding in terms of the volume of questions asked, they were constantly exploring, however behaviour management techniques were necessary in certain cases when things got out of hand.
